United Training Acquires WeKnowIT
National training company expands presence into South Carolina community
New Braunfels, Texas (September 2021) – United Training, an IT training & professional development company, announced that they are acquiring the training operations of WeKnowIT, an IT training company.
The purchase of WeKnowIT based in Columbia, South Carolina, adds an additional physical campus to United Training's national footprint while also providing learning solutions to a broader audience globally. While offering global, virtual training solutions, United Training is also focused on establishing a local presence to meet the training needs of its customers. The new location in South Carolina strengthens the strategic mission of United Training Academy to support workforce development initiatives through community relationships, on-the-ground resources, apprenticeships, and career training programs.
"The combination of WeKnowIT’s strong relationships and reputation in the South Carolina region with our career training programs will allow us to address the current shift in workforce needs within the community," said Jamie Fiely, President of United Training & Academy. "The acquisition will also bolster our corporate IT training offerings with the addition of WeKnowIT’s talented instructors and support staff."
The acquisition took effect September 1st and WeKnowIT training will now operate as United Training.
