This course shows Microsoft OneNote for Windows users how to use some additional features of OneNote for Windows. Students will learn to work with content and customize tags, tables and files, the draw tool, pages and sections, work in multiple OneNote windows, and use touch gestures.

Who Should Attend

This course is for students who would like to learn some best practices and extra features available in OneNote for Windows. Some basic experience with OneNote is recommended, but confident beginners should be able to catch on quickly.

Course Objectives

    By the end of this course, you will be able to upload and work with various files types, work with custom tags, work with tables, and insert files in OneNote for Windows. You will also be able to use some of the extra features, like, zooming, draw tools, inking, working with multiple windows, and touch gestures.

  • Working with Content: Learn to add screen clippings, work with copy and paste options, customize tags, and create hyperlinks.
  • Working with Tables: Learn to use tables in OneNote to organize your content.
  • Inserting Files: Learn to insert files at attachments and insert meeting details.
  • Zooming In and Out: Learn to zoom in and out using keyboard shortcuts.
  • Working with the Draw Tools: Learn to use the new Draw tool and convert your drawing to shapes.
  • Working with Pages and Sections: Learn some shortcuts when working with pages and sections.
  • Opening Multiple OneNote Windows: Learn to work with more than one OneNote window.
  • Using Touch Gestures: Learn gestures to use when working with a touch screen.
