This course is designed mostly from an end user perspective. SharePoint 2016 Classic vs. Modern: When viewing your companys SharePoint sites, you will see it in one of two layouts: Classic or Modern. This depends on the site default. The skills are transferable in either view, but you may prefer to attend the course which maps to your companys settings. Who Should Attend

This course is for students who want to learn the different ways to collaborate with documents and tasks in a SharePoint site, as well as how to integrate SharePoint documents with Microsoft Office and Business Intelligence.

Course Objectives

    Upon completion of this course, students will know the difference between libraries, lists, and apps. You will know how to upload and edit multiple files to a document library, as well as how to share files with other users and collaborate on those files. You will also be able to create and assign tasks, and use the integration features for Office and Business Intelligence.

1 - What is SharePoint?
  • Learn the benefits of SharePoint, the site collections hierarchy, and the different site templates.
2 - Authoring and Organizing
  • Learn the SharePoint User interface, the default permission levels, and the differences between SharePoint Libraries, Lists, and Apps.
3 - Collaboration and Sharing
  • Learn to upload multiple files to libraries, edit documents, assign and edit tasks, and access list and library views.
  • Integration with Office and Business Intelligence
  • Learn to work with documents in client applications, send SharePoint calendar information to Outlook, Display Skype for Bus. Presence and contact information in SharePoint, and integrate Business Intelligence tools into a SharePoint site.
