How to Delete a Row in Excel with a Keyboard Shortcut

Keyboard shortcuts can be a convenient way to speed up working in an Excel Spreadsheet. Keep reading for a step-by-step tutorial for deleting rows with a simple keyboard shortcut.
First, you select the row you want to delete: There are several ways you can complete this; it all boils down to personal preference.

1. You can do this with the keyboard shortcut "Shift then Space bar." It is not a simultaneous press of the keys, but rather a progressive one. This will automatically select whichever row you are currently working on.

2. The second option is to select the number, hit the shift + down OR up arrow until you get to the row you desire.

3. Finally, you can simply select the first cell in the row
Next,, you will click CTRL + Minus Key (-) on your keyboard: This will instantly delete whatever row you have selected. As you can see in the screenshot below, IN003 is now deleted from the sheet entirely.

Now that you have deleted the selected rows using your keyboard shortcut, you can carry on organizing and working through your spreadsheet!
