To help professionals learn on-the-job skills that will propel your business forward, United Training has compiled a list of our recommended training courses for job roles surrounding Business Analysis.

Business Analyst

A Business Analyst's primary objective is helping businesses implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners. Business Analysts are the link between the end user and a Project Manager. The Business Analysts key responsibilities may differ from company to company, but their main purpose is to analyze, evaluate, and refine processes.

Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

A Business Systems Analyst (BSA) works with the business to understand their needs, specifically as it relates to information technology (IT). Using their knowledge of the organization’s technology infrastructure and specific software applications, they help the business to address changes through technology.

Business Process Analyst (BPA)

The Business Process Analyst (BPA) acts as the liaison between business units and IT departments; completes business cases in support of projects; participates in or facilitates business process modeling and research efforts; and acts as a consultant and reviews all documents on project teams. BPAs analyze business processes and workflows with the objective of finding out how they can be improved or automated.

Project Management Related

Several other job roles outside of Business Analysis, such as Project or Product Managers, rely heavily on business analysis skills for success. If you work with project teams and manage requirements or product development, or if you’re a project or program manager who performs business analysis in your role, then the PMI-PBA® certification is right for you.
